How it all began...

Resolution 64/292, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 2010, recognizing the human right to water and sanitation, inspired Marie-Stella-Maris to advocate for universal access to clean water, in line with their mission to improve community well-being worldwide.

Clean water for all

In 2011, inspired by the United Nations Resolution 64/292 recognizing clean water and sanitation as basic human rights, we set out on a journey. With 663 million still lacking clean water and 2.4 billion without proper sanitation, our mission is clear: to make clean water accessible worldwide. Through projects focused on water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), we make this mission a reality.

Since our establishment, we have supported 17 water projects, providing clean water access to around 100,000 people. But our journey continues, and there’s still more work to be done. Will you join us?

lifestyle brand marie-stella-maris

The Marie-Stella-Maris Foundation emerged as a natural extension of the socially impactful lifestyle brand, Marie-Stella-Maris. Rooted in the belief that everyone deserves access to clean drinking water, our Foundation was born from the brand’s commitment to making a difference.

With every purchase of its water and natural body care products, they structurally donate into our Foundation to contribute towards sustainable water projects. Together, we strive to create a world where clean water is a fundamental right for all.

Foundation board

The Marie-Stella-Maris Foundation has a Board consisting of five members; there are no paid Foundation employees. We are very proud that all board members mentioned below are voluntarily willing to contribute their time, knowledge and expertise to the Foundation.
